What Is Dental Bone Management?

Dental bone management, also sometimes known as dental bone grafting, is a restorative procedure that increases the amount of bone in the jaw. This makes it better able to support dental implants and helps to restore the jaw’s original shape, function and operation.

Why Is Dental Bone Management Important?

Dental bone management is an invaluable procedure that helps patients suffering from tooth loss and bone loss caused by gum disease. It also helps to repair damaged bone caused by facial trauma and offers a way to rebuild the jaw before the implementation of dentures. Other uses of dental bone management are to stabilise and support any loose teeth and to lift maxillary sinuses before dental implants are placed.

Take A Look At Our Bone Management Solutions…

Some of Meisinger’s most popular bone management kits include the following:

Benex Control – The Benex-Control Professional is the optimal solution for dental root and dental root fragment extractions, particularly in procedures where conventional drawing using forceps and leverage should be avoided.

Crest Control Kit – This bone management solution is ideal for the controlled, pre-determinable widening of horizontally resorbed bone. It is used in the distal mandible over a long distance, with reliable horizontal spreaders, making the spreading of the alveolar ridge possible by up to 5mm. This feature means that an implant of all current systems can still be used in the mineralisation phase.

Crestal Lift Control Kit – This system is used for minimally invasive, closed sinus-floor elevation within internal sinus lift procedures. Its crystal drill has an atraumatic design, which safely shapes a conical bone flap. The drill head is curved inwards to collect bone graft material. The adapted stop-sleeve system prevents membrane injuries.

Master Pin Control – Developed with dental professional Dr Istvan Urban, this revolutionary pin system was designed specifically for the fixation of non-resorbable, resorbable and titanium membranes on local bone. It offers optimal, safe and convenient use.

Split Control – These Meisinger Split-Control systems allow for the gentle widening of the alveolar ridge. They also enable simultaneous lateral bone condensing in the case of a horizontal bone deficit.

Endo Access Bur Kit ENDO2 – Designed for safe access into the root canal during bone management procedures, this kit includes a complete set of Meisinger Endo Access Burs. Designed with the downfalls of traditional burs in mind, including their tendency to obstruct the vision of dental professionals, these burs have thin, long necks, allowing for optimal, unobstructed view. These bone management burs allow dentists to easily and safely remove any dentinal triangles and flare the canal orifice for ideal straight-line access into the patient’s root canal.

However, that’s not all! Since there wasn’t enough space to discuss all of our available bone management kits, you can browse the whole range here.
